13th DISTRICT AHEPA SCHOLARSHIP

ABBOTT AND FENNER SCHOLARSHIP
The Abbott and Fenner Scholarship is available for high school juniors and seniors. Applicants must complete a 500-1000 word essay on an assigned topic. ADVOCATE GOOD SAMARITAN HOSPITAL-MEDICAL STAFF SCHOLARSHIP AWARD (Check back later for 2022 updates)
Ten individuals will receive a $1,000 scholarship that is renewable for four years. Applicants must be high school seniors who reside in or attend high school in the Good Samaritan Hospital area and intend on pursuing a degree in a healthcare-related field such as medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physical/occupational therapy, etc.  Applicants must have a cumulative GP of 3.0 on a four point scale or 4.0 on a five point scale and be accepted into and plan to attend an accredited two or four year college, university or technical school. Applicants must fill out an application form, provide college transcripts for the most recently completed academic year, supply a letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or counsel, and give a brief statement regarding their college career so far. AES SCHOLARSHIP
This is a $500 scholarship in which students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in response to a specified question. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY SCHOLARS PROGRAM
This scholarship offers $5,000 to 350 applicants who are either a high school senior or college freshman, sophomore, or junior. Applicants must be African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian and Intend to major or already major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or another chemistry-related science. AMERICAN LINE BUILDERS JOINT APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING PROGRAM
The American Line Builders Apprenticeship and Training Committee (ALBAT Program) accepts applications for apprentice programs including outside lineman, substation technician, and transmission technician on a continuing basis in an eight-state area. The apprenticeship program length is approximately 3 years. Applicants must be 18 years old, be at least a high school graduate or have a GED, and show a copy of a valid driver's license. ANDREW FLUSCHE SCHOLARSHIP
The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest requires students to raise awareness about different legal issues. Applicants must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) about how to share the road with pedestrians and bicyclists. One winner will be chosen each year semester and will receive $500 to put towards higher education. You must be a high school senior who has been accepted into or a currently enrolled student in a college, university, or trade school. AOPA FLIGHT TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP
Made possible through donations to the AOPA Foundation, scholarship awards are part of the You Can Fly program, a series of targeted initiatives designed to make flying more affordable, accessible, and fun. The High School Flight Training Scholarship provides funds for winners to apply toward training for their private, sport, or recreational pilot certificate. ASIAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER AMERICAN SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students. Applicants must be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census, be a US citizen, enrolled as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2022, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED, submit the FASFA by early April 2022, and submit one letter of recommendation online. BARBARA LOTZE SCHOLARSHIP
Undergraduate students enrolled, or planning to enroll, in physics teacher preparation curricula and high school seniors entering such programs are eligible. This scholarship offers a stipend of up to $2,000 and a complimentary AAPT Student Membership for one year. The scholarship may be granted to an individual for each of four years. Applicants must declare their intent to prepare for, and engage in, a career in physics teaching at the high school level and must, at the time the scholarship funds are received by the student be: an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university; or a high school senior accepted for such enrollment. Must be pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high schools, show promise of success in their studies, and a citizen of the United States of America. BEYOND THE BOROUGHS NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
Beyond the Boroughs awards four-year scholarships -- each worth up to $20,000 – to both male and female students of any race from any state. The Big Sun Scholarship is a $500 scholarship to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. The successful applicant will be currently involved in athletics in some capacity, either for their school or for their community. BMW/SAE ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP
This annual scholarship is available to high school students who are U.S. residents, have a minimum unweighted 3.75 GPA, submit two letters of recommendation, participation in a STEM-related extra-curricular activity, and must pursue an engineering or related science degree through ABET accredited program. The scholarship winner will be awarded $1,500 and the scholarship may be renewed for a total award of $6,000. BULLYING PREVENTION SCHOLARSHIP
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who is a high school senior planning to attend a university the following semester. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and must submit an 750 word essay.

The CBAI Foundation for Community Banking offers 24 scholarships to top Illinois high-school seniors statewide each year. The scholarship awards available this year by the Foundation total $21,500. THE CHICK EVANS CADDIE SCHOLARSHIP
The Evans Scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for high-achieving caddies with limited financial means. To qualify, caddies must meet the requirements of having a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character. Scholarship applications are accepted at the beginning of an applicant’s senior year of high school, as well as from college freshmen. In 2020, 845 caddies applied for the Evans Scholarship and 300 Scholarships were awarded for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors. The Scholars Award Program is College of DuPage's premier merit-based scholarship program for high school graduates. Scholarships are awarded based on a holistic review of all scholarship materials, so applicants should try to highlight why they stand out on their Scholars Award application.

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a female student pursuing a career in agriculture leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine, or any other career directly related to agriculture. Distinguished Young Women of Illinois is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent in young women. DLA THINK (about architecture) SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is an opportunity for talented graduating students to demonstrate the role that architecture plays in their lives. Candidates participate by submitting a creative video response to show us how they interact with our design and demonstrate what the space makes possible. One student from RB will receive a $500 scholarship and be qualified for the state competition. The top winner will receive a total of $1,500 and the state runner-up will receive a total of $1,000. This scholarship is open to any senior that will be attending college or university in the fall.

GE – REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (Applications Will Open Fall 2022)
Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. This GENIUS scholarship, standing for GeoENgineering Innovations through Undergraduate Scholarship, is for current and prospective Triton College students who are interested in majoring in a STEM (Science, Technoloty, Engineering, math) area of study. SEGUIN RCA SCHOLARSHIP
Seguin RCA will provide two $2,000 academic scholarships each year to qualified applicants working on a degree with the intent of serving persons with developmental disabilities.  The high school senior applicant must intend to seek an undergraduate degree in the field of developmental disabilities, intend to work with persons with developmental disabilities after graduation, be accepted by an accredited college or university, and have a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher. The applicant must submit the following materials: the application form, a letter of intent/acceptance from the college/university (if applicable), two letters of reference (one must be from a teacher), and a high school transcript.  The application is available in Student Services. 
 
 
SIXT SCHOLARS PROGRAM (Applications Closed)
Sixt rent a car is pleased to award five high school seniors  a $5,000 scholarship and become a Sixt scholar. The program is designed to assist high school students who plan to continue their education in college.
