Five RBHS Students Graduate From Plumbers Local 130 Bridge Program

Five Riverside Brookfield High School students graduated from the Plumbers Local Union 130 UA Bridge Program on Thursday, January 22. Over the past ten weeks, Jacob Alvarez, Kevin Callejas-Galindo, Diego Pinedo, Byron Vicuna, and Lucas Wells developed essential skills in math, tooling, and safety protocols needed for careers in the skilled trades. Completion of the program makes them eligible to apply for an apprenticeship with Local 130 and begin working with union contractors, opening the door to invaluable career opportunities in the plumbing industry.

We would like to thank District 208 Board of Education Member Bill Durkin, Director of the Des Plaines Valley Region Educational Cooperative Dr. Michael Kuhn, and Plumbers Local 130 Training Director Anthony M. Rottman for their work in bringing this program to Riverside Brookfield High School and students across the Chicagoland area.
