In-Class Practice ACT Exam (November 18)

Dear Junior Students and Families,

We are writing to inform you about an upcoming practice ACT exam that will be administered to all junior students at Riverside Brookfield High School.

This practice exam is an important opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the ACT format and identify areas for improvement before taking the official exam in May 2026. Please note, however, that this is an informal exam experience. It is not an official PreACT exam through the ACT corporation.

All junior students will take this practice ACT exam in their English (ACT English), Math (ACT Math), Social Studies (ACT Reading), and Science (ACT Science) classes on Tuesday, November 18th. Due to time constraints, the ACT Math portion of the exam will extend over two days, continuing into Wednesday, November 19th.

The exam, including all in-class accommodations, will be administered through the Formative app.

No special registration or preparation is required. Students should simply arrive to class on the dates listed above with a fully-charged Chromebook and be prepared to test.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Lindsay Mynaugh, Division Head for STEM

Marc Helgeson, Division Head for Humanities
