25 RBHS Students Selected for ILMEA District 1 Ensembles

Congratulations to the 25 Riverside Brookfield High School students who earned spots in the Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) District I Band, Choir, Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Jazz Choir through a highly competitive audition process. Each year, thousands of students from over 80 high schools across the Chicagoland area audition for these prestigious ensembles. Selected students will spend a full day collaborating with guest conductors in large ensemble rehearsals, culminating in a series of festival performances.

Participation in a District I ensemble is the first step toward becoming an All-State Musician, an honor recognizing the most outstanding high school musicians in Illinois and inviting them to perform in all-state ensembles at the state music convention in January.
