Happy Spirit Day Everyone! I love seeing all the crazy socks and pink today! Today is March 21st, and so we celebrate World Down Syndrome Awareness. The date of the 21st day is significant and was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome. Wearing PINK today shows support for all people who have been affected by Breast Cancer. Today in 6th-hour teachers are asked to mark in the Google Doc emailed this morning with the number of students in either Crazy Socks or Pink. Then the Student Association will award 6th hour classes with candy.
