Updates on Grading, 4/3

Greetings Riverside Brookfield Families and Students,

Here at RB, we are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure all students have ample opportunities to pass every class and earn grade promotion or to graduate. A student may not have reliable internet connectivity, may be struggling to function in this new environment, or may even be dealing with COVID-19 directly or indirectly. We understand that some of our students may even be living in a challenging household; thus, it may make completing assignments in its entirety, and on-time, difficult. For those reasons, during these remote/e-learning days, there are 3 possible outcomes for the final Semester 2 grades; all of which are needs and opportunities based. The attached overview of our remote/e-learning grading model should help students and families understand how students will be grading during this time of school closure. Feel free to reach out to us for any comments or questions.

With high hopes for a clear understanding of our updated grading practices,

Dr. Hector Freytas
Principal

Ms. Kylie Lindquist
Assistant Principal in Curriculum and Instruction
