This past weekend, the Bulldogs competed at the 46th annual IHSA Chess State Finals, the largest high school tournament of any activity in the country.  Despite missing three of their top five players, the Bulldogs, who were seeded 116th, finished in 106th place out of 127 teams. Junior Charlie Buh won 6 of his 7 matches and earned All-State Honors on 2nd Board.  Junior Karim Hummos and Sophomore Julian Duda both had three wins on their boards and Sophomore Trevor DeButch added two big wins. Freshmen John Freeh and Eric Albarran had won win and one draw each and Senior Ted Roussin added a clinching victory in a team win.  Way to go Bulldogs!

 

The next Principal Forum Meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 26 during all lunches in Room 201.  Come share your ideas with Dr. Freytas and enjoy some pizza. All are welcome.

 

 

The President and Board of Commissioners are in search of a new flag design for Cook County Government and are looking for a high school student to design it. For more information see visit cookcountyil.gov/flag2021.

Attention all students, get excited for the spring dance that will be on March 7th! Tickets will be $10 for everyone with or without your student ID. This is a new event that RB is hosting this year, more information regarding the dance will come out soon.

 

Spring sports are now open for electronic registration at our 8to18 Athletic Website. Please have your parent or guardian register you for a spring sport. GO BULLDOGS!

 

Do you have any leftover pop tops? Well if not, knows the time to start collecting our annual pop-top collection is this April. Help your 5th-period class win a pizza party.

 

Tennis Preseason Meeting will be in Room 108 immediately after school Wednesday, February 19th.
