"OLAS, the Organization for Latin American Students, will be hosting dance lessons this Wednesday, September 19, after school in room 201. We will be discussing future events for the club and learning the basics of different Latino dances. Feel free to stop by!"

 

Voting for King and Queen is new this year, we are asking that everyone please take out their chromebooks and log onto the main RBHS webpage @ www.rbhs208.net and find the google form link under News and Announcements. You will vote for one girl and one boy and the King and Queen will be announced at the Pep Rally on Friday.


"If you are a senior who received an NHS application, the deadline is 3:30 PM today in room 130. Eligible juniors with a minimum 3.5 GPA will be invited to apply next semester."


"Do you like tennis? Do you like tables? Well, come to Table Tennis club and you can enjoy both! We will be meeting on Mondays in the cafeteria afterschool. The ping pong tables fill up quick, so come early! If you have any questions, see Mr. Boyd in room 118.


What a blast from the past! You all look amazing in your different decade styles. Now please take a few minutes to open the link on RB’s website to vote for the King & Queen.    


Today during all lunches, check out the Staff Decade Board and try and figure out who the staff is and win a prize.


Don't cook Tuesday night!  Eat at Chick-Fil-A and support RBHS Boosters.  Visit Chick-Fil-A in North Riverside today. Let them know you're from RB and they'll donate 20% of the proceeds.


Have you ever considered the talent show, but the crowd seemed to overwhelming? Today from 6:30-8pm Minority empowerment will be hosting a warm and intimate open mic night. It will be held in the Alumni lounge located near the main gym. Come share your wonderful talents or simply watch! Sign ups are in the main office and during all lunches today.


  

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

The Cook County Clerk's Office is looking for high school students to serve as Student Judges in the upcoming November 6th 2018 General Election. Judges earn $200.  If you are interested please see Mr. Fields in room 230 or register at www.cookcountyclerk.com/students. The deadline for registration is Friday, September 28.

 

Any student that intends on bringing a guest to homecoming must fill out a guest pass form and turn it in by Wednesday, September 19. The forms can be found in the main office.

 

Get a head start on homework! Come join us in the student cafeteria for Homework Hangout from 3:05-4:00 pm Mondays - Thursdays. NHS tutors will be available to help everyday, if you have questions or need help in one or more classes.

Did you miss your chance to park in the Rockefeller Student Lot? If you did, then you are in luck! The South Zoo Lot Parking Application is up and online on RB’s home page. Students who are approved may park in the Zoo Lot from October 1st to March 31st. Approval notices will be out by the end of September. All fees must be paid for in advance prior to purchasing the $85.00 Permit.
