CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM FOR TAKING SECOND PLACE AS A TEAM AT THE IHSA 2A sectional race and qualifying the team for the state meet this coming Saturday,November 5 in Peoria.Sophomore Tara Janney finished 8th overall, and was a member of the all-conference all regional and all sectional teams this season . The following seven runners will be participating at state: Tara Janney, Hailey Jurgens, Nadia Kaczmarz, Melissa Oliveira-Liz, Emma Fortman, Cora Lutes, And Emma Forberg.

 

THREE WEEKS AGO THE BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM WON THE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 75 YEARS

and this past weekend for the first time in the school's history they won the Sectional Championship! The triple championship also is a first for RB's cross country team! Mateo Nunez, Jacob Wardzala Connor O'Brien, Jack Sagan,  Matt Zamudio, Nick Allegretti, Ryan Hahn, Evan Jones, Daivid Keen and Nathan Palmer will travel to Peoria to keep this run of success going. Congrats boys!

Come out to support us at Sectionals on Tuesday November 1st by signing up in the Athletic Office for the Fan Bus to Addison Trail.

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Try-outs for girls basketball begin on Monday (October 31st) from 3:30 - 5:30 for all grade levels. All student-athletes must have a current physical on file with the Athletic Department and fill out the required consent form on the athletic website prior to try-outs. The required forms are available on the athletic website.

 

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR BOY’S BASKETBALL, PLEASE ATTEND AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST AT 3:15 IN ROOM 104.  If you can't attend please see one of the coaches to get the necessary info.

 

EVERY TUESDAY STUDENTS CAN REDEEM THEIR HERO POINTS DURING ALL LUNCH PERIODS. If you have hero points you  would like to redeem for prizes please see Mr. Mannon or Ms. Sullivan in the cafeteria.

 

THE ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE WINNERS FOR QUARTER 1 WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON TOMORROW’S AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENTS.

The grade level with the highest overall attendance percentage for first quarter will win a free ice cream treat during their lunch period.

 

SPANISH CLUB IS SELLING JARRITOS WITH MEXICAN CANDY AT LUNCH TODAY FOR $2.

 

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS, YOU WILL BE TAKING A PRACTICE ACT IN THE EAST GYM ON TUESDAY, NOV. 1ST FROM 1ST-4TH PERIOD AND EATING LUNCH IN THE GYM DURING 4C. Please report directly to the easy gym when school begins unless you are told otherwise. Bring a calculator, several sharpened pencils, water and a lunch. Backpacks and cell phones are forbidden in the testing area.  Any questions, please see Mr. McConnell in room 259.

 

THE BLOOD DRIVE IS THIS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2ND FROM 8AM-2:30PM IN THE EAST GYM.  If you would still like to sign-up to donate you may in either Ms Ziola’s Room #215 or Ms Koehler’s Room #114 today during 4th hour.  Thank you!

 

THE BULLDOG BOOK CLUB BOOKS ARE IN! Come see Mrs. Phillips in the library if you'd like to borrow a copy of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to read for our next meeting.  All are welcome to join us in our discussion before school on Thursday, November 10.
