EVERY TUESDAY STUDENTS CAN REDEEM THEIR HERO POINTS DURING ALL LUNCH PERIODS. If you have hero points you  would like to redeem for prizes please see Mr. Mannon or Ms. Sullivan in the cafeteria.

 

THERE WILL BE A POP UP POSITIVE HERO STATION IN THE HALLWAY SOMETIME THIS AFTERNOON.  If you see Mr. Dughetti or Mr. Sibley during passing period near a station, stop by and give them your ID to redeem a positive point.

 

THE ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE WINNERS FOR QUARTER 1 WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON TOMORROW’S AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENTS.

The grade level  with the highest overall attendance percentage for first quarter will win a free ice cream treat during their lunch period.

 

THE 12TH MAN MEETING FOR AFTER SCHOOL TODAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED. If you are going to the playoff football game this Friday, the theme is a blackout. Please meet near the north gate at 6:45 as the student section will walk in together. Tickets are $5.00 each at the gate. Activity passes will not be accepted since this is an IHSA event.

 

SPANISH CLUB IS SELLING JARRITOS WITH MEXICAN CANDY AT LUNCH TODAY AND TOMORROW FOR $2.

 

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS, YOU WILL BE TAKING A PRACTICE ACT IN THE EAST GYM ON TUESDAY, NOV. 1ST FROM 1ST-4TH PERIOD AND EATING LUNCH IN THE GYM DURING 4C. Please report directly to the easy gym when school begins unless you are told otherwise. Bring a calculator, several sharpened pencils, water and a lunch. Backpacks and cell phones are forbidden in the testing area.  Any questions, please see Mr. McConnell in room 259.

 

THE GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM HAD A WONDERFUL 2 WEEKS. They won the Metro Suburban Conference race by placing 4 girls for all-conference honors, including Tara Janney, Hailey Jurgens, Nadia Kaczmarz, and Emma Fortman. This past Saturday, they won their class 2A regional as a team.  Tara Janney was the regional champion, and Nadia Kaczmarz and Hailey Jurgens joined her on the all regional team by going 1-2-and 3 overall in the race.  

 

 

REMINDER, THE BLOOD DRIVE IS NOV. 2ND!  Sign-ups are today and Wednesday in the student cafe during all lunches.  You must be 16 years or older, weigh over 110 lbs and in good health to donate.  Please consider signing up, we can give you more information at the table.  

 

 

AS YOU ALL KNOW, A WEEK FROM TODAY IS HALLOWEEN!! Wear a costume next Monday that doesn't include clowns, weapons, or any face coverings and you will receive hero points!

 

THE BULLDOG BOOK CLUB BOOKS ARE IN! Come see Mrs. Phillips in the library if you'd like to borrow a copy of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children to read for our next meeting.  All are welcome to join us in our discussion before school on Thursday, November 10."
