WE ARE VERY EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT PROM WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, APRIL 29TH FROM 6:00PM TO 10:30PM AT THE HYATT LODGE IN OAK BROOK

Tickets are on sale now in the Bookstore during all lunch periods thru April 18th.  You will need your RBHS ID and approved outside guest form for any non RBHS student guests at the time of purchase. Individual tickets will be sold for $80.00 each or $160.00 per couple.  

  •        The Prom theme is “Masquerade Ball”.
  •        Everyone will get a black eye mask on a stick as a favor.  At Prom, you will have the opportunity to decorate your mask at a mask decorating station.
  •        You can bring your own mask if it is on a handheld stick.  Due to security concerns, you will not be allowed to wear masks that tie around your head.  
  •        A formal dinner with assigned seating will not be provided however there will be several food stations with a variety of options including an appetizer station, nacho bar, and ice cream bar.
  •        McDonald's cheeseburgers will be served as a late night treat before the end of the dance.
  •        Prom court nominations will be held during all lunch periods in the Cafeteria thru April 15th.
  •        The Prom Court consisting of 5 girls and 5 boys will be named on April 15th.
  •        At Prom, you will vote for the actual King and Queen as soon as you arrive and before the dancing begins.
  •        A DJ will provide the music and a photo booth will be available.
  •       All Fees must be paid for in full prior to your ticket purchase.
  •     Students attending Prom must arrive at RBHS by 5:30 pm and then proceed directly to the Student Cafeteria.
  •     Prom attendees are expected to ride a chartered bus to the venue and back to RBHS following the dance.
  •        Students and guests will abide by the RBHS Student Code of Conduct.
  •        If a student is deemed under the influence of alcohol/controlled substances, a police officer will be on site to assess any and all situations.

ALL BEST BUDDIES MEMBERS, ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEST DANCE OF THE YEAR?

Best Buddies Prom is this  Saturday at Oak Park River Forest High School  from 7-9. The theme is  disco but  everyone  can choose  what to wear. See Ms. Mortensen or Ms. Soprych if  you have  any questions.


TOMORROW IS A SPIRIT FRIDAY COMPETITION FOR 5TH HOUR CLASSES

It is also The Day of Silence, and Student Association encourages all to show acceptance for all of our Bulldogs. Please participate in this Friday and show your school pride.

CLASS OFFICER ELECTIONS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!

If you are interested in running to be a class officer and missed the Student Association meeting, stop by Mrs. Ziola's room, 216, to pick up a packet.

 

THE RBEF GRANT APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN AT WWW.RBEF.TV

The deadline to submit is April 22 by midnight late

entries will not be considered. Please stop by Mr. Franko’s office in student

services if you have any questions.


ON TUESDAY APRIL 19, FRESHMAN, SOPHOMORE AND JUNIOR STUDENTS WILL TAKE A STANDARDIZED TEST

All students should bring #2 pencils and a calculator and report to their testing location by 7:50 a.m. Room assignments will be posted for all students testing closer to the testing day. Dismissal time for this test day will be 12:35 for any student not receiving accommodated testing support.

Each grade will be taking the following tests:

Freshman PLAN Test

Sophomores Practice ACT

Juniors State ACT (funded by RBHS – parents do not have to register their children for this test).

Seniors College Visit Day (non-attendance day)


CHEERLEADING CLINICS WILL BE HELD TOMORROW

in the east gym from 330-730PM and tryouts will be on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10am-2pm!


THE ORCHESIS SHOW IS ON APRIL 22ND AND 23RD!

Come out and see our RB Dancers and the performance they have been working all semester for! Show is at 7:00pm both nights, tickets will be sold in the business office, $7 for students and $10 for adults.


ALL STUDENTS WHO HAVE SIGNED UP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DAY OF SERVICE NEED TO TURN IN THEIR SIGNED WAIVER BY WEDNESDAY APRIL 20  

Please turn it in to your English teacher, or to Mrs. Young in room 222 of the Main Office.


PROM TICKETS ARE ON SALE THIS WEEK DURING ALL LUNCH PERIODS.

Fees must be paid and you must present an ID and your guest pass at the time of purchase. Prom court nominations will be held in the café during lunch periods for Juniors/Seniors until Friday.
