West 40 Posting for District 208 Board of Education Vacancy

PUBLIC NOTICE OF BOARD OF EDUCATION VACANCY

Public Notice:
Dr. Mark Klaisner, Executive Director, West 40 Intermediate Service Center #2, is accepting applications to fill the vacancy resulting from the resignation of School Board Member Tom Jacobs.

The appointed candidate will serve until the next regular school board election scheduled for April 4, 2023.

Qualifications:
A candidate for the position must:
  • Be a citizen of the United States;
  • Be of the age of 18 years or over;
  • Be a resident of the State of Illinois and the Riverside Brookfield Township High School District 208 for at least one year; and
  • Shall be a registered voter, as provided by the general election law.
Application:
Applicants should show familiarity with the Board’s policies regarding general duties and responsibilities of a School Board and a School Board Member, including fiduciary responsibilities, conflict of interest, ethics and gift ban. The Board’s policies are available on the District’s website at www.rbhs208.net.

Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and a resume. Please email the letter of interest, and resume to Dr. Mark Klaisner, mklaisner@west40.org. All documents must be submitted to West 40 Intermediate Service Center #2, by September 17, 2021, by 4:00 pm.

Candidates will be contacted directly to schedule an interview if chosen.
