"This week the American Library Association celebrates Banned Books Week, an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and spotlights current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools. Every day this week, facts about banned and challenged books will be shared during the morning announcements. Here’s your first fact: In 2018, the American Library Association recorded 347 challenges to library, school, and university materials and services. The top 11 challenged books include popular titles such as The Hate U Give and Thirteen Reasons Why. RBLibrary supports your freedom to choose what you would like to read, so come visit our Banned Books Week display to see more information and check out a book for yourself!"
