Important AP Exam Information

This message will detail information for all upcoming Advanced Placement exams here at Riverside Brookfield High School. Please review all information carefully.


Information for all AP Testers

  • Exam Schedule: Please review the updated 2024 AP Exam Schedule (RBHS) as it also includes exam locations.
  • 2024 AP Exam Terms and Conditions: The AP exam terms and conditions are available now at cb.org/apexamterms. This agreement details the rules and policies students must follow related to taking all 2024 AP Exams. Students will need to accept these terms and conditions on exam day.

AP Exam Details

    • Dates: May 6-16, 2024
    • Start Times: Proctors will begin reading instructions promptly at 8:00 a.m. for morning exams and at 12:30 p.m. for afternoon exams. Students should plan to arrive at their exam room 15 minutes prior to the exam start time.
  • Exam Format: Paper & pencil. Any student taking an AP Spanish Language, AP French Language, and/or the digital AP English Language & Composition exam should plan to bring a fully-charged Chromebook.
  • Accommodations: All previously-approved College Board accommodations will be provided according to a student’s unique needs. Students with accommodations will receive a notice prior to their exam date to meet their proctors in Student Services on exam day.
  • What to Bring: Student or state ID, multiple sharpened #2 pencils (not mechanical), pens in blue or black ink, and a calculator with extra batteries for exams where calculators are permitted.
      • Students taking two exams on the same day will be permitted to bring a lunch into the testing room. These students will be directed by the proctors to eat in the testing room between their morning and afternoon exams.
  • Prohibited Items in the Testing Room: Please see below...
  • Students are prohibited from bringing cell phones or any other internet-connected devices (smart watches, exercise trackers, tablets, etc.) into the testing room. Use of any prohibited electronic devices at any time (including the breaks) will result in a student’s immediate dismissal and score cancellation.
  • Important: Proctors will be collecting cell phones prior to exams starting. All phones should be completely powered down during exams.
      • Backpacks, bags, purses, food, and drink are prohibited from being placed near the testing area. These items must be placed away from the student testing area during the exam.
  • Chromebooks are permissible for exams with recording sections.
  • Afternoon Dismissal: Due to the length of the exam, some of our afternoon exams will be released after the conclusion of the school day. Please plan accordingly.
