Club Description:
The Riverside Brookfield High School Flags (Color Guard) and Twirlers create and practice routines that they perform with the band at home football games. Participants also march in Brookfield's 4th of July parade and the Von Steuben German American Fest in Chicago's Lincoln Square. Prospective members should attend a free clinic in the spring to learn what we are all about. For more information, contact Dawn Lizak at [email protected].
Becoming a member:
Color Guard is a no-cut activity. All genders are welcome. If you are interested in joining, you should attend the free spring clinic held at RB. In addition, Smith Walbridge holds a summer clinic at Eastern Illinois University. This is an overnight camp that is scheduled for early July. Our students have found this to be extremely valuable. Scholarships may be available.
Participation in the early August Band Camp is required. You will also be expected to attend practice 2-3 times per week through the football season, and perform at all home football games. For more information, contact Dawn Lizak at [email protected].
