Special Education Services

"Some see the disabilities, but special education teachers see the possibilities." - Unknown

The Special Education Services Department works collaboratively with all other departments, students with disabilities and their families toward the aim of fulfilling our school wide mission that “All students will be prepared with the intellectual, aesthetic, vocational, physical, personal and social skills necessary to be responsible and effective members of a diverse and changing world.”

If you believe that your student is eligible for special education and/or has a disability for which accommodations are required, please contact your child’s teacher or Kevin Baldus, Director of Special Education Services, at [email protected].

Even if a student is not eligible for special education services pursuant to the IDEA, he or she may be disabled within the meaning of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Any person who feels a student who is a resident of the District needs accommodations from Riverside Brookfield High School for a disability under Section 504 should review and complete the required forms (see below) and submit any relevant documentation supporting that need to Beth Augustine, Director of Student Services, at [email protected].
