AST encourages you to think about when you walk into a room, is your skin tone the first thing that people notice about you? Does it make people question your abilities? If this intrigues you, we encourage you to join AST this Friday morning in room 234 for a discussion on race, privilege, and profiling. We look forward to seeing you there!

This week celebrates acts of KINDNESS and how WORDS MATTER.  This four-day celebration demonstrates that kindness is contagious and to better understand how words have power. It all starts with one act – one smile, one compliment, one favor for a friend or classmate.  RB students and staff can model kindness and raise awareness of how words and phrases can negatively impact experiences and a sense of belonging within the school environment.  It’s an opportunity for RB to demonstrate a positive mindset and to leave the world better than they found it and inspire others to do the same.

African American Club will meet tomorrow after school to finalize plans for Black History Week Celebration.  Please come to Room 115 after school

All juniors will be taking an Official Practice SAT on Friday, February 22nd, during periods 1 through 4.  Students should report to the Fieldhouse that morning, where they will be directed to their seats. Because the testing will not end until close to 11:45am, all juniors will be eating lunch during 4C on Friday. Accommodated students will be receiving slips to give them more information about their testing location.  Students, please arrive to the assigned testing location by the start of first period on Friday. Don’t forget your calculators and #2 pencils. No phones or backpacks will be allowed in the testing centers, so please leave them in your lockers.

Be a part of a new annual tradition at RBHS. Each year the RB Boosters will select a single student-created design to feature on that year’s T-shirt. Please submit your hand drawn or computer-generated design via email by April 5, 2019 to [email protected]
