This thursday morning, December 6th, OLAS will be selling churros for $2 each in the atrium. We will be donating all the money to support those affected in California due to all of the wildfires. The proceeds will be sent to California Fire Foundation. Get yours before we sell out!

 

A representative from the National Hispanic Institute will be here tomorrow during 5th period and meeting with interested students. If you also are interested in attending, please send Mr Franko an email, or stop down in Student Services to sign up.

 

Tomorrow,  Erica Aguilar, our Eastern Illinois University Admissions Counselor, will be at RB and will meet with individual students, review their transcripts and standardized test scores, and offer admissions to qualified students. If you are interested in meeting with Ms Aguilar and gaining admittance to EIU, please contact Mr Franko, and he will see that you are called down on Wednesday to meet with her.  

 

Jostens will be on campus tomorrow, during lunch, in the cafeteria, for ring service day.  All students and staff are invited to have their Jostens ring inspected, polished, resized and stone replaced if needed, at no charge. Please be certain to bring your class ring to school for ring service day. New ring orders may be placed with a $50.00 down payment.  You may design your ring at Jostens.com.

 

There is a Best Buddies chapter meeting today in room 201 during all lunches.  See you there!!

 

Would you like to be part of an amazing cultural experience? The French program is looking for Host families to welcome French 15-18 year old students in their homes for 2 weeks in April 2019. If you and your family are interested and excited about other cultures, if you would like to share your life and participate in cultural understanding, and create lifelong friendships with French people, come with your family to an information meeting on today at 6 pm in room 204. Any questions, stop by 204 and ask Mrs. Forberg

 

Students, this year the Martin Luther King Day of Service will be held on Monday, January 21. The event is sponsored by the PTO and NHS. The goal is to build 150 basic survival kits to help the homeless. They are seeking Donations of the following items:New adult sized gloves, hats, socks, hand/foot warmers; Soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner;hand lotion, lip balm, small bottles of water, non-perishable food items: fruit/granola bars, hard candy, nuts, fruit cups, tax deductible Monetary Donations via PayPal will be used to purchase additional items. Items can be dropped off at RBHS, local grade and middle schools and the following local organizations: Riverside Library, Brookfield Library, North Riverside Commons with designated MLK Day of Service Donation Boxes from December 15 – January 15.

 

It is with great excitement that Association of Students for Tolerance is hosting their very first Book Drive this winter! We ask you to please help us in collaboration with Bernie’s Book Bank to bring in children’s books up to a 6th grade reading level to donate. We will be collecting books starting today through December 14th, as it will go on for 2 weeks. If you see a designated box in one of your teachers rooms, we ask you to please turn your books into these areas!
