Owner of Blueprint Travel and former attendees of the highly regarded Summer Scholars Program will be here at RB after school on Wednesday, September 26 in room 130 to discuss the 2019 summer trip to London. Come learn about this life-changing experience!!


Banning books silences stories. This week, RBLibrary is participating in the celebration of Banned Books Week.  This is an annual event that celebrates your freedom to read and the values of free speech and the open access to information.  Each day this week, we will be sharing a Banned Books fact during the morning announcements. Here is our first Banned Books fact: in 2017, there were 354 challenges, or attempts to remove or restrict materials, reported to the American Library Association.  And yet, it is estimated that 82-97% of challenges go unreported each year


Now that Homecoming is over, Girls That Code wants to get the rest of year off and running with new ideas and projects.  Come to our meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept 25, at 7:15 am in Room 252 to learn more about our club and see what coding is all about!  No experience necessary!


Need a job?  Plymouth Place Senior Living is looking for a few good men and women to work in their facility.  Open Interviews will be Sept. 25th from 10am-5pm.


"Do you like tennis? Do you like tables? Well, come to Table Tennis club and you can enjoy both! We will be meeting on Mondays in the cafeteria after school. The ping pong tables fill up quick, so come early! If you have any questions, see Mr. Boyd in room 118.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:

The Cook County Clerk's Office is looking for high school students to serve as Student Judges in the upcoming November 6th 2018 General Election. Judges earn $200.  If you are interested please see Mr. Fields in room 230 or register at www.cookcountyclerk.com/students. The deadline for registration is Friday, September 28.

 

 

Get a head start on homework! Come join us in the student cafeteria for Homework Hangout from 3:05-4:00 pm Mondays - Thursdays. NHS tutors will be available to help everyday, if you have questions or need help in one or more classes.

Did you miss your chance to park in the Rockefeller Student Lot? If you did, then you are in luck! The South Zoo Lot Parking Application is up and online on RB’s home page. Students who are approved may park in the Zoo Lot from October 1st to March 31st. Approval notices will be out by the end of September. All fees must be paid for in advance prior to purchasing the $85.00 Permit.
