SUMMER CAREER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES

Des Plaines Valley Region (DVR) is hosting 3 career camps in early June that RB students who are interested, are encouraged to attend.  There are camps in Health Careers, Food Sanitation, and Coding.   If you are interested and want more information, go to http://www.dvr-efe.org/career-camps/ or see your counselor.  The registration deadline is May 20th.

 

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL 5TH HOUR CLASSES

who donated pop tops for our “pop tops for patients” contest. The final numbers are in:

We collected a total of 21.6 pounds of pop tops which is equal to 27,367 individual pop tops. These pop tops will be given to the Ronald McDonald house near Loyola Medical center. The Ronald McDonald House charities recycle the pop tops and use the money to help offset the costs of keeping their houses open. We are now on our way to collecting our new school goal of 2 million pop tops.

The overall winner of the contest with a total donation of 4.5 pounds  – Mrs. Koehler’s class!

THE FINE ARTS PROFICIENCY TEST

will be given this TOMORROW at 7:45 in room 148. You must sign up on-line if you plan on taking the test.  See Mrs. Farlee in the Applied Arts Office if you have any questions.

 

TODAY’S BOOK OF THE DAY IS

100 things Blackhawks Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die, written by Tab Bamford, the husband of Special Education Services teacher Ms. Bamford.

Bamford has collected essential Hawk knowledge, trivia, stats, and must-do activities and ranks them from 1-100.

 

TECHNOLOGY HELP DESK

Apply to be part of the first ever technology Help Desk at RB! Next school year, all freshmen will have chromebooks, and the purpose of the Help Desk will be to provide technology support for those freshmen. If you're interested, submit your online application by May 1. Check out the posters in your English classrooms for the link to the online application. If you have any questions or need the application link, stop by the library.

 

THERE WILL BE A TREE PLANTING MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR YEATS BRANNICK

on the front lawn of Riverside Brookfield High School at 4:00pm on May 6th.  All are welcome to attend.

 

(MCDONALD’S JINGLE) BA DA BOP BA DA….. RB’S LOVIN IT

From April 14th to April 30th, National Honors Society is sponsoring a donation drive for the Ronald McDonald House at Loyola. Please stop by the Main Entrance or the student cafeteria and pick a fry with the name of a donation item you will be purchasing, and return that item to Ms. Mynaugh's room, 218, by Thursday, April 30th.  Thank you in advance for your support
