AXA ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
The AXA Achievement Scholarship offer college scholarships of $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Fifty-two students will be selected to receive $10,000 scholarships, one from each stated, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. From the state recipients, 10 students will be named AXA Achievers and receive additional national awards at $15,000 each for a total of $25,000 per national recipient. This $1,000 scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution. Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors who will be attending a college, university or vocational school in the fall immediately following their high school graduation. Girls Going Places is Guardian Life Insurance Company’s annual initiative designed to reward enterprising and community-minded girls ages 12 to 18. Guardian grants cash prizes to girls who demonstrate budding entrepreneurship; taking the first steps to financial independence; and making a difference in their school and communities. This scholarship is open to high school juniors who reside in and attend school in the Chicago area. SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS ILLINOIS SOCIETY SCHOLARSHIP
This $1000 scholarship is available to a graduating male or female student who is a descendant of a male who served in the Military. Students must be attending a community college, college, or university. A 500 word essay must be submitted along with an application and transcript. Applications are available in Student Services.
The Seguin Retarded Citizens Association will provide two $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors who have the intent of serving persons with developmental disabilities. All applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above and must intend to seek an undergraduate degree in the field of developmental disabilities. Applications are available in Student Services.
STATE OF ILLINOIS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is offered to any student planning to attend an Illinois state university. Please mail a written request for an application to: State Representative Bob Biggins, 114 W. Vallette, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
These scholarships, ranging from $500 to $4,000 are offered to any senior planning to attend a 4-ear college, community/junior college, or career school. There is no minimum GPA or ACT score. You just simply go to www.student-view.com and complete the short application. The scholarships will be awarded via a random drawing.
THE SUNFLOWER INITIATIVE - HARRIET FITZGERALD SCHOLARSHIP
This $10,000 scholarship is available to a female student attending a women's college. The recipient must be academically motivated; she must possess a stellar high school record, strong references, and a desire to make a contribution to society. 13TH DISTRICT AHEPA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS SCHOLARSHIP

TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS OF ILLINOIS SCHOLARSHIP
Seven $2,000 scholarships are available to qualified seniors. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, be a U.S. citizen, demonstrate community service or leadership, submit a 500 word essay on The Role of Township Government in Today’s Society, supply 2 letters of recommendation, submit an official high school transcript, submit a cover letter and application form, and plan to enroll at an Illinois school as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree. U.S. BANK’S INTERNET SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
This scholarship is open to high school seniors planning on attending a 2 or 4 year college on a full-time basis. Up to forty $1,000 scholarships will be awarded. You can apply online at www.usbank.com/scholarship . Applications will be accepted from October through March.
WAL-MART COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
