Riverside Brookfield Township High School District 208 is pleased to introduce the outstanding individuals who have been selected this year to receive the Alumni Achievement Medal Award. The five recipients are John Lyell Clarke III, Class of 1973, Dr. Gwendolyn L. Kartje, Class of 1973, Andrew Tecson, Class of 1973, Robert P. Latham, Class of 1976, and Wendy Snyder, Class of 1981. The selection committee had to choose from a group of highly successful and competent individuals. Five candidates were selected; the others will be considered again in the next review cycle.
The Alumni Achievement Medal Award strives to identify individuals who have graduated from Riverside Brookfield High School at least ten years prior to nomination and who are recognized by their high level of recognition in a professional, athletic, governmental, civic, or fine arts field. An individual may also be nominated based on an act of bravery or heroism or be recognized for community service. A nominee must have consistently demonstrated that he/she has the highest moral and ethical standards. An Alumni Achievement Medal recipient serves as a role model to Riverside Brookfield High School students and is the highest honor the RB community can bestow upon a graduate.
The recipients will be honored at an awards banquet scheduled on Thursday, September 21, 2017, here at the school, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The ticket price is $40.00 per attendee for this affair. Our intention is to invite those in the community to participate, as this has become a very important event in the life of the school. Individuals wishing to attend may contact Mary Ann Nardi, at 708-442-8275, or by email at email@example.com to receive information about the dinner.
