EARTH WEEK FACT #2

Americans use an estimated 500 million straws a day - the same weight as 1,000 cars!  Straws are made of non-biodegradable plastic which never break down and are nearly impossible to recycle.  Straws are also especially dangerous to birds and aquatic animals when they try to eat them or become entangled in them.  So, whenever you eat out, remember to Shed the Straw and spread the word!
