AND THE WINNER IS…

Congratulations goes to Taylor Jurgens on winning the Day of Service t-shirt design.  Thank you to all the great artists that entered a design in this year's contest.

 

THE HOSPITALITY/BAKING & PASTRY CLASS has been working on adding some treats to your St. Patrick's Day. Shamrock shake cupcakes, lucky charm cupcakes, shamrock shaped chocolate pretzels and monster cookies just to name a few.  All items will cost $1.00.  Thank you in advance for supporting the "Bulldog Bites Bakery".

 

THE RB LIBRARY will be having an Amnesty Day on tomorrow,Friday, March 17.  Overdue books returned on this day, and this day ONLY, will have all fines forgiven.  Ask in the Library if you have any questions.

 

TOP O’ THE MORNING TO YOU!  Show your school spirit tomorrow by wearing green and white for St Patrick's day!

 

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A WAY TO “MAKE A SPLASH” IN YOUR COMMUNITY?Are you in need of service hours? The RBHS DAY of SERVICE is the perfect opportunity!  Student sign ups are next week Monday through Thursday during lunch. There are several projects in each of the surrounding communities. Come up to the table at lunch and find out a project for you and your friends to work on.  The Day of Service is Saturday, April 29th.  This is the signature event for our high school and the most publicly visible demonstration of students giving back to the community which supports them.  Hope to see you there!

 

THE RIVERSIDE BROOKFIELD EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION is looking for volunteers to help work the telephone bank during the telethon, which is THIS Saturday, March 18th. See Mr. Franko if you are interested in supporting an organization that supports students and teachers in their educational goals."

 

OLAS will have a meeting today after school in Tinoco's room.



JUNIOR AND SENIORS: Starting today, Hero points can be exchanged for an opportunity to win prom tickets through a raffle. Each raffle ticket will cost 10 points and there is no limit as to how many tickets you can purchase. The raffle drawing will be held next Friday and 6 individual prom tickets worth $90.00 will be handed out.

Also if you will be needing a Guest Pass for Prom, you can pick them up in the Main Office.

 

JUNIOR AND SENIORS, IIT, Western Illinois Univ and Bradley University will be visiting RB this week sign up through Naviance.

 

ALL STUDENTS PLANNING ON TAKING THE FINE ARTS SURVEY PROFICIENCY EXAM ON MARCH 23, 2017 NEED TO REGISTER ON THE RB WEBSITE BY MONDAY MARCH 20th BY 5 P.M.

JUNIORS WHO ARE ACCEPTED to NHS should turn in their signed initiation ceremony RSVP as soon as possible to Ms. Tomecek in room 136.

 

ATTENTION ALL JUNIORS AND SENIORS: prom tickets will go on sale starting the week of March 20th and will go through the week we come back from spring break. Just a reminder that all fees must be paid off in order to buy tickets. Prom is april 21st, the tickets are $90 and we will be announcing the theme friday march 17th

 

THE RBHS PTO is offering a Summer Academic/Leadership Enrichment Grant  to assist students with the costs of attending camps/workshops during the summer of 2017 that provide academic enrichment and/or enhance their leadership skills. The application is due by April 17th. For more information visit www.rbhspto.org.

 

BATTLE OF THE BANDS is Sunday May 21st. Applications are available in the main office and the deadline is April 14th.
